Rhodes Kremasti beach

General information

Kremasti is located close to the International Airport of Rhodes, just 12 kilometers southwest of Rhodes Town. Boasting crystalline waters, the beach is strewn with a charming mixture of golden sand and small pebbles and stretches for several kilometers between Ialyssos and Paradisi.

Though Kremasti is less crowded compared to other beaches closer to Rhodes Town, it is, in places, well-organized not only with umbrellas and sunbeds but also with water sports centers. The coastline there is particularly suitable for such thrilling sports as windsurfing and kitesurfing, while, close to the beach, there are also tennis courts. If you’re looking for something more peaceful, you can always head for those chunks that remain much more pristine and secluded. You need to bear in mind, though, that the beach’s vicinity to the airport means that there might be a lot of noise, especially in high season.

In Kremasti Village, visitors will find taverns and restaurants renowned for their excellent local recipes. Walking around the village streets, you will come across some quite beautiful sights, like the church of Panagia Katholiki, the ruins of a medieval castle, and traditional houses with lush flowery gardens. Moreover, the stunning Valley of Butterflies is conveniently situated within just 14 kilometers from the beach.
