General information

Fourni is located 80 km southwest of Rhodes Town, near the Castle of Monolithos and the homonymous village. It is a small pebbly beach with crystalline azure waters, that has remained totally unspoiled, retaining all its wild natural beauty, and it is an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts who prefer to enjoy the splashing of the waves in solitude.

There are no conveniences whatsoever, and the nearest tourist facilities can be found in Monolithos, so visitors will need to come prepared with plenty of water, snacks and everything else they need.

On the promontory near Fourni Beach is a series of caves, some of which were used as burial chambers in ancient times. There is no signposting, so visitors will have to explore the beach and pinpoint them on their own; however, the experience is worthwhile, as the tombs are quite atmospheric.
