Rhodes Elli beach

General information

Starting near the Rhodes Casino and stretching beyond the famous Aquarium, Elli is a long spearhead-shaped beach that surrounds the northernmost part of Rhodes Town. With its crystalline azure waters, it is one of the most popular beaches in Rhodes and even has been highly praised by the British author Lawrence Durell.

The lively and cosmopolitan Elli is well-organized and is visited by hundreds of people every day. Offering plenty of colorful umbrellas and sundecks, it is lined with seaside taverns and restaurants, as well as lovely hotels and rental rooms which are all within walking distance from the medieval Old Town.

Moreover, Elli Beach features a range of water sports facilities, including a diving board inside the sea which lends itself to moments of endless fun. If you want a pleasant break from the sun, you can visit the nearby Aquarium, or take a walk around the town and enjoy Greek dishes in the taverns.

    Fantastic Day in beautiful waters
A gorgeous setting for a beach. A sunny day with medium light winds. Fortunately the many pebbles in reach helped anchor my towel. Water temp was much cooler than expected. The pebbles on the beach & going into the water caused you to sink in quickly as the pebbles & sand gave way to your body weight. I wish I had tried diving from the diving platform.
