Patmos Meloi beach

General information

Meloi is a tranquil beach located just 2 km from Skala. It features silky sand and crystal blue waters that are relatively shallow, making them ideal for swimming. The area is also well-protected from north winds, affording the sea a nice calmness. The tamarisk trees along the shore provides some shady spots for spending some moments of relaxation.

As for the facilities, the beach is not well-organized, lacking both umbrellas and sunbeds. There is, however, a traditional tavern near the beach, serving authentic Greek dishes in a beautiful seaside environment. Beach-goers can also visit the nearby mini market for their food and drink needs. At one end of the beach, you will notice a small dock, where boats are occasionally moored. What is more, Meloi lies within walking distance of many accommodations.

Because of its proximity to Skala, Meloi Beach is easily accessible, even if you do not have a private vehicle. It is also very popular and can get a bit crowded, especially during peak summer months.
