General information

Livadi Geranou Beach is located on the northeastern coast of Patmos, 8.5 km from Skala. This picturesque bay features a long sandy shore and beautiful turquoise waters. As the area is well protected from the stronger summer winds, the waters are very calm, creating the ideal conditions for swimming. The clarity of the sea also makes this a popular snorkeling destination.

The surrounding landscapes feature lush greenery and verdant hills, affording the area a unique natural ambiance. The beach is distinguished by its idyllic position, lying across from the islet of Agios Georgios. Beach-goers can venture out to the charming islet, as it is within swimming distance, and experience first-hand its scenic beauty. They can also visit the homonymous chapel of Agios Georgios, accessible via a small dirt trail.

The beach does not feature sunbeds or umbrellas, so visitors are advised to bring personal towels to lie on. The smattering of trees lining the shore provides some nice shady spots to rest under.
A small fish tavern is located in proximity to the beach, offering delectable seafood and refreshing drinks.

Livadi Geranou Beach is easily reachable by car, within a 20-minute drive from Skala. Alternatively, visitors can take the public bus and get off at the stop in the settlement of Kambos. After a 35-minute walk along the coastal path, you will have reached the shore of this idyllic beach.
