General information

The beach of Lefkes is located on the western side of Patmos, at the edge of the small bay of Lefkon. It is a very picturesque spot, characterized by a mixture of sand, pebbles, and stones, as well as some lush green surroundings. The waters are crystal clear and strikingly blue. It should be noted that the sea is not protected from the northern winds, often leading to choppiness.

Lefkes does not offer amenities such as umbrellas or sunbeds There is, however, a collection of tamarisk trees lining the coast that create natural shade for some moments of relaxation. There is also a small canteen that provides visitors with some seating areas, along with a nice variety of delectable snacks and refreshing drinks. Yet the beach remains relatively undiscovered, perfect for those seeking an escape from the bigger crowds in busier tourist resorts.

Lefkes Beach is easily accessible by car, with the trip from Chora requiring a 20-minute drive down an asphalt road. As you get closer to the beach, the road transitions from asphalt to gravel. Along the way, you will get to enjoy some beautiful views of the rural landscape that dominates the island of Patmos.
