Built atop the slopes of a hill beside the sea, Kefalos is one of the most uniquely beautiful villages in all of Kos. About 3.5 km south of the center of Kefalos lies one of the best viewpoints in the area, providing gorgeous views of the green landscapes, glistening blue waters of the Aegean, and the white-washed houses of the village. Venturing out to this idyllic spot is very much worth the effort, allowing you to take in the unparalleled beauty of the area in a serene and quiet atmosphere.
The scenic point is accessible from the center of Kefalos by car and the trip should not take more than 10 minutes. As you make your way down the road, you will pass by the quaint Church of Panagia Palatiani and the ruins of the ancient theater, which are both worth a stop to admire. Once you reach the vantage point, you can also follow a small dirt road that will take you to the wonderful White Stone Cave.
