Kos Psilos Gremos beach

General information

Psilos Gremos Beach is located in the Gulf of Kefalos, 32 km southwest of Kos Town. The name of the beach means Tall Cliff, while it is also known among locals as Markos Beach. It features a long stretch of silky sand and crystalline teal waters that are almost always calm and ideal for swimming.

The coast is partly organized with umbrellas and sundecks, whereas the rest of the beach is left unspoiled, providing a secluded place to enjoy some moments of relaxation. It has been noted by some beach-goers that the trash bins on the beach are often full, leading to occasional littering on the beach itself. The surrounding region is rocky and has light vegetation. A traditional Greek tavern overlooks Psilos Gremos and there are a few accommodation options in the wider region; however, most facilities are found in Kefalos.
