Kos Psalidi beach

General information

The lovely beach of Psalidi is located 4 kilometers east of Kos Town, on the road leading to Agios Fokas and Thermes. This long beach is strewn with sand and pebbles and is quite well-organized with umbrellas and sundecks.

For the more adventurous, there are many water sports centers as well. Moreover, there are several beach bars and traditional seaside taverns where visitors have the opportunity to enjoy fresh fish and other Greek specialties. Many luxurious hotels can be found there as well.

The beach is easily accessible by taxi, car, or public buses. If you’re into cycling, though, you can also take advantage of the 4-kilometer-long bicycle lane leading to Psalidi from Kos Town. Overall, Psalidi is the perfect spot for a romantic walk on the beach, especially in the late evening, as it provides wonderful views of the glorious sunset.

Well-hidden among the tourist infrastructure, you will also find a wetland filled with reeds and lush vegetation. Being connected with the sea via a natural canal, it is a significant wildlife refuge for many bird species —including flamingos— which flock there during their migration periods.
