The charming Church of Zoodochos Pigi is located in Diafani Village, about 49 km north of Pigadia. Also known as Gafaniotitsa, it was built during the early 19th century by the sailor and merchant N. Protopapas. It lies in the center of the village and is the largest church in the area.
The church is distinguished by its impressive bell tower, which stands in front of a small garden. Inside, the walls are covered by an astounding collection of vibrant frescoes depicting religious figures and biblical scenes. Its murals were created by the local teacher and icon painter Giannis G. Tserkis.
