General information

Limniatis Beach is located on the bay of Pigadia, about 1 kilometer from the center of the capital. Nestled between Pigadia Beach and Affoti Beach, Limniatis bears similar characteristics to its neighboring beaches, featuring fine sand and crystal blue waters. The clarity of the sea invites visitors for a refreshing dip, however, the area is not protected by winds so the sea can get a bit choppy at times. The seabed also features some rocky spots which beach-goers should be wary of.

The beach is well-organized and offers plenty of umbrellas and sunbeds to rent. A few seaside restaurants and cafes dot the shore and serve delectable Greek food along with delicious coffee and ice-cold drinks. The surrounding region also boasts plenty of accommodations that allow for easy access to the idyllic beaches of the area.

Limniatis Beach can get a little crowded, especially during the peak summer months, due to its exceptional location. This is an ideal destination for kids, with easy entrance to the sea and plenty of space on the shore for the little ones to play. While in the area, make sure to visit the ruins of the Chapel of Agia Fotini which lie just behind the shore and present major archaeological interest.
