Karpathos Lefkos beach

General information

Located 33 kilometers northwest of Pigadia, the area of Lefkos boasts three marvelous beaches with fine sand and turquoise waters which never fail to captivate visitors.

The main beach is commonly known as Gialou Chorafi, and it is the most well-organized of the three. Visitors will find not only umbrellas and sunbeds but also plenty of taverns, restaurants and cafes. Accommodation is also available in the nearby village of Kato Lefkos. Gialou Chorafi can be easily accessed by car, and there is a parking lot within close distance from the beach.

A stone’s throw away stretches a small cove known as Tis Panagias to Limani, which also has white sand and crystalline light-blue waters. If you want to enjoy the sun and the sea far from crowds of bathers, this is the best choice, as it is only partly organized with a few sparse umbrellas, leaving plenty of room for you to use your own equipment in privacy.

The third beach is none other than the enchanting Frangolimionas, which stretches right in front of Sokastro Islet.
