General information

Boasting pristine waters that take on an infinite variety of blue, light blue and turquoise hues, Frangolimionas is the northernmost beach in the area of Kato Lefkos and is separated from the main Lefkos Beach (Gialou Chorafi) and Tis Panagias to Limani by a small peninsula.

It is a long stretch of sand that leaves plenty of room for visitors to lay down their own equipment, even though it is organized with umbrellas and sunbeds. In contrast to the other two neighboring beaches, however, it is more exposed to the wind and can get quite choppy. Moreover, it is not as shallow, and its primarily sandy seabed is covered with pebbles and flat stones at places, which makes it less suited to families with little children.

What makes this beach stand out, though, is the fact that it lies opposite the enchanting islet of Sokastro, which is renowned for its rocky bays and medieval ruins. Boat tours depart for Sokastro from the small fishing port of Kato Lefkos on a regular basis.

In the vicinity of the beach, visitors will find plenty of options in terms of cafes, restaurants and accommodation.
