General information

Fises Beach is located on the western coast of Karpathos, just 2 km from Olympos. Boasting a pebbly shore and calm turquoise waters, this is an idyllic spot perfect for a relaxing swim. It is surrounded by some rugged hills and impressive rock formations, affording Fises an untamed natural character that sets it apart from other beaches in the area.

The beach features zero amenities or facilities with a notable lack of umbrellas and sunbeds. Visitors are encouraged to come well-prepared with all essentials, from sunscreen to food and water. The surrounding rugged terrain offers plenty of hiking opportunities, with many different trails providing some truly gorgeous views.

Those interested in visiting Fises Beach can do so by following a winding dirt road starting from Olympos Village. The road is suitable for some vehicles, however, you can also choose to make the trip on foot, allowing you to explore the unique natural landscape along the way. Afterward, you can head back to Olympos, which houses a variety of restaurants, cafes, and accommodations.

Some beach-goers have commented on the difficulty of the climb down to the beach and especially the climb back up to the village because of the steep slopes. With that in mind, we recommend that you be cautious should you choose Fises as your destination.
