Karpathos Christou Pigadi beach

General information

Christou Pigadi means the well of Christ and has taken its name from a spring that flows into the sea at that place. It is located very close to Karpathos Airport and the town of Pigadia, and boasts crystalline azure waters which remain cool even in the hottest summer days thanks to the spring. The beach is strewn with sand and fine pebbles, and there are also a few tamarisk trees offering some natural shade.

Though the beach is organized with umbrellas and sunbeds, it has remained quiet and is an excellent choice for those who wish to relax away from large crowds. Along the seafront, visitors will also find a canteεν and a tavern serving traditional Karpathian dishes.
