Karpathos Affoti beach

General information

Affoti Beach is located on the bay of Pigadia. It boasts a nice sandy shore adorned with a few pebbles and crystal-blue waters. With a relatively shallow depth, the waters are ideal for a relaxing swim. However, the area is not protected from winds which can lead to some choppiness. Entrance to the sea can prove a bit tricky as there are slippery stone slabs right at the shoreline.

The beach is only partly organized, with a few sunbeds and umbrellas lining the shore. There are many restaurants and cafes in the surrounding area, so there is no need to worry about food or drinks. Plenty of accommodations are also located right by the bay. Yet Affoti rarely gets crowded, offering an impressively peaceful and serene atmosphere. Overlooking the southeastern side of the beach are the ruins of the Chapel of Agia Fotini, which grant the area a unique archaeological character. Visitors of Affoti can venture out to the nearby beaches of Vrontis and Limniatis.
