Kalymnos Panormos

General information

The picturesque village of Panormos is located 5 kilometers northwest of Pothia, in a fertile green valley surrounded by imposing crags, which leave visitors spellbound. At the same time, it boasts some of the island’s best beaches, including Kantouni, Linaria and Platis Yialos. Thus, though it remains untouched by mass tourism, it has evolved into a popular resort, attracting travelers who wish to enjoy its pristine beaches and its amazing mountaineering or rock climbing spots.

One of the main attractions in the wider area is the Monastery of the Holy Cross, which is built on the slopes of a hill and is perfect for enjoying panoramic views. Moreover, visitors can see the remnants of ancient pottery workshops, which have been excavated in the location of Tsoukalaria.
