We are located a mere 60 metres from the beach along the main road which connects the village with the island’s main town of Pothia. Emporios is a small, peaceful village in the North – West side of the island of Kalymnos at the very end of the main road leading north away from the main town – Pothia.
In antiquity, Emporios was the original commercial centre of Kalymnos, which is evident by the ancient ruins of the old castle to be found on the side of the mountain at the specific location of Kastri, as well as the ancient grave monuments discovered next to the sea.
