Kalymnos Kalamies beach

General information

Kalamies is one of the most isolated beaches of Kalymnos, located 20 km northwest of Pothia and around a kilometer east of Emporio. Featuring a beautiful pebbly shore and azure waters, the beach is characterized by its natural beauty. A collection of rugged mountains overlooks Kalamies Beach and protects it from strong winds, creating the ideal conditions for a leisurely swim at any time of year.

The beach is dotted with sunbeds and umbrellas that are available to rent. A beach bar and a restaurant are right next to the pebbly shore and offer delectable food and refreshing drinks, as well as wonderful views of the sea. Yet, Kalamies is never too crowded and thus provides a tranquil escape from busier destinations.
