Kalymnos Gefira beach

The charming Gefira Beach is located around 2 kilometers from the center of Pothia, the capital of Kalymnos. Boasting a small pebbly shore and crystal turquoise waters, the beach offers a serene atmosphere free of the hustle and bustle of the town. Impressive hills and lush greenery characterize the surrounding environment, affording the area an enchanting natural atmosphere.

Visitors may find a handful of sunbeds and umbrellas, but besides that, the beach is mostly unorganized. The imposing hills and many trees that line the beach also provide some nice shady areas to relax under after a dip in the sea. A small restaurant overlooks the beach and serves delectable Greek dishes and refreshing drinks.

The wider region of Pothia hosts a medley of cafes, restaurants, and accommodations. Visitors of Gefira can also venture out to some of the other beautiful beaches nearby. Therma Beach is among the most notable, lying just next to the beach of Gefira.
