Kalymnos Arginonta beach

General information

Arginonta Beach is located about 15 km north of Pothia and 6 km southeast of Emporio. Coiled up in a picturesque bay, this secluded beach boasts a small stretch of white sand adorned with grey pebbles. The stunning azure waters can get a little choppy at times but are otherwise suitable for swimming. Encircled by impressive mountains, the area offers beautiful views of the island’s natural landscape.

Umbrellas and sun beds are available for rent and there is a beach bar serving ice-cold drinks and a variety of snack options. A few accommodations, cafes, and taverns can be found in the wider region, just a few meters walk from the beach. Access to the tranquil beach is relatively easy, with regular bus routes connecting Pothia with Arginonta. The bus stop is also very close to the beach. For those traveling by car, there is a parking area 500 meters from the beach, just as you enter the settlement of Arginonta.

It should be noted that there have been complaints about trash being present on the shore of the beach as well as in some parts of the waters. Beach-goers have also commented on the trash bins usually being full. We recommend that you bring an extra bag with you to place rubbish in there and take them with you after leaving the beach.
