Astypalea Marmari beach

General information

Located around 3 kilometers north of Astypalea Town, close to the organized campsite of Astypalea, Marmari actually consists of three separate beaches with sandy and pebbly shores. All three are fringed with crystalline waters which are relatively shallow at the beginning, while the seabed becomes sandy as well after a few initial flat slabs of stone. Though there are, arguably, more beautiful beaches in Astypalea, those at Marmari are sure to appeal to anyone seeking relaxation and seclusion.

There are no tourist facilities on any of these beaches, though a few trees provide visitors with some natural shade. Access is also quite easy, as they lie within a short distance from the road. Make sure to carry with you everything you may need, including plenty of water.
