Tinos Tarabados

General information

Founded in the 1700s, Tarabados is a small traditional settlement with beautiful whitewashed houses, cobblestone streets and romantic archways. In fact, the very entrance to the village passes through a medieval arc! Within just 4 kilometers from the village, visitors will also find the Catholic Shrine of Panagia Vryssiotissa.

What makes Tarabados really stand out, though, is the fact that it is ideally located in the midst of a verdant valley dotted with some of the best-preserved dovecotes on the island. Having been restored, these quaint columbaries are remarkable samples of Tinian architecture, while the stroll through the valley is truly refreshing, as trails pass through a dreamy landscape composed of luxuriant vegetation and running streams.
