Tinos Lychnaftia beach

General information

Lychnaftia is a secluded beach on the southeastern part of the island. White and grey pebbles cover the beach and continue into the beautiful crystalline waters. While the clarity of the waters makes them ideal for swimming, it should be noted that the area is exposed to strong winds, leading to some choppiness.

The beach has no facilities. Some trees create shady areas for you to lay your towel and rest. Because of Lychanftia’s isolated location, visitors are advised to come prepared with all essentials, including food and drinks. This isolation affords the beach a peaceful environment which, along with the gorgeous natural surroundings, creates a delightful experience for every visitor.

Lychnaftia can be accessed from the capital rather easily, via a 25-minute drive. If you are not traveling with a private vehicle, reaching the beach can prove tricky. The closest bus stop is situated almost an hour walk’s away, in the settlement of Ormos Agiou Ioanni.
