Tinos Kalivia beach

General information

Kalivia is a picturesque bay located 16 km northwest of Tinos Town and 5 km south of the settlement of Kardiani. This idyllic location is blessed with crystal blue waters, silky sand, and a light adornment of pebbles. The surrounding hills protect the sea from the strong northern winds, creating the right conditions for a tranquil swim. The waters are also pretty shallow, making this an ideal choice for younger swimmers and a popular destination amongst families.

Half of the beach is organized, offering a collection of sunbeds and umbrellas to rent. The other half remains untouched and ideal for those craving a more quiet and independent experience. A long tuft of tamarisk trees lines the coast, creating some natural shade to rest under. A beach bar on the shore provides beach-goers with comfortable seating under the tree shade and snacks and drinks. Just behind the beach bar, one will find a parking area.

Kalivia can be accessed rather easily from the capital. Driving along the road to Isternia, make a left turn before reaching Kardiani. The road that leads directly to the beach is a bit rough, but the view of the beach is just magnificent.
