General information

Apothikes Beach is found along the northern coast of the island, 16 km north of Tinos Town and about 5.5 km from the settlement of Kato Klisma. Visitors can expect to find a big stretch of silky white sand with a light adornment of pebbles bordering its crystal blue waters. Small hills surround this idyllic destination, however, it is still very much exposed to the strong northern winds. Depending on the weather conditions, this may cause some chopiness in the sea.

Part of Apothikes is organized, with umbrellas and deck chairs available for rent. There is also a beach bar located right on the shore, serving delicious snacks and refreshing drinks under the shade of wooden pergolas. The western part of the beach remains untouched, offering guests a wide open space to lay their towels and relax in a more laid-back environment. Despite being partly developed, Apothikes rarely gets crowded and is the perfect choice for those who crave a calm and quiet beach experience.

Accessing Apothikes from Tinos Town requires a 25-minute-long drive down a relatively easy-to-traverse road. Along the way, you will be greeted with many wonderful sceneries, from rustic landscapes to traditional settlements. Once you have reached Apothikes Beach, you can also venture out to the popular Kolympithra Beach, situated less than 1 kilometer away.
