Tinos Agios Romanos beach

General information

Agios Romanos is located in the southwestern part of the island. Built along a small bay, this seaside resort boasts a tranquil atmosphere ideal for a day of relaxation. While tourism has started to seep into the area, it maintains its quiet nature, free of the hustle and bustle of busier tourist destinations.

The main attraction of the area is undoubtedly the idyllic Agios Romanos Beach. This long and sandy beach lies right below the developed settlement and boasts crystalline blue waters. This spot is well-protected from the strong northern winds, making it perfect for swimming, especially for younger children. There are plenty of trees along the sandy shore providing natural shade for some moments of rest.

More about Agios Romanos Beach

Visitors will be able to find sunbeds and umbrellas available for rent on one side of the beach. Another part of the beach is left untouched and is a good option for those craving a more peaceful time of swimming and sunbathing. A lovely beach bar lies on the more developed side, serving refreshing drinks and an array of delicious snacks. The surrounding region also hosts plenty of accommodations that place you within walking distance from the beach.

Agios Romanos is accessible from the capital via a 20-minute-long drive. While there is no designated parking spot, you should be able to find a place to park your vehicle along the road. Just before reaching the beach, you will pass by the namesake church of Agios Romanos.

    Nice
Better to visit the beach next to it, on the right, called Apigania, which is one of the best but it takes a 5 minute walking on a footpath. Both are protected from the winds.
