Tinos Agios Markos beach

General information

Located less than 2 kilometers northwest of Tinos Town, in the direction of Kionia, Agios Markos is a pebbly cove with wonderful sky-blue waters. It is not organized, but a few tamarisk trees afford bathers some natural shade. Though the rocky shore makes it impossible to plant your umbrella, it is the place to head for on windy days, as it is well-sheltered from the strong summer winds.

Perched on a rock right above the sea stands a quaint whitewashed chapel that has given the beach its name.
