General information

Vlichada Beach lies on the western coast of Sifnos, about 8 km southwest of Apollonia. The beach consists of equal parts sand and pebbles and crystalline emerald waters. The waters are relatively calm and their depth increases gradually, making them ideal for swimming. Towering hills and rugged rock formations hug the shore, adding to the isolated feeling of this heavenly spot. The beach does not offer any facilities, so visitors are encouraged to come well-equipped with all the necessities. A few tamarisk trees can be found just behind the shore, providing some natural shade.

The beach is accessible through a long scenic path among the mountainous landscapes. However, this route is not recommended, as it can prove extremely difficult to traverse. Instead, you can choose to travel to Vlichada Beach by small boat that departs from the port of Kamares. Because of its secluded location and limited accessibility, Vichada is one of the quietest beaches on the island, perfect for those seeking some moments of serenity away from bigger crowds.
