General information

Fikiada Beach is located in the southern part of Sifnos, about 5 km from Vathy. This is one of the most isolated beaches on the island, featuring golden sand, clear blue waters, and untamed natural charm. The clarity of the waters makes this an ideal spot for snorkeling, while some even prefer it for fishing. Verdant hills surround the small bay and create a wonderful lush scenery that will enthrall all beach-goers.

The beach is completely unorganized and features no amenities, so visitors are encouraged to come well-prepared with all necessities. It is also never crowded and allows for some nice moments of relaxation amidst a tranquil environment. The whitewashed chapel of Agios Georgios stands out among the otherwise unadulterated natural expanse, situated atop a hill overlooking the right side of the bay. Just behind the church, one can also make out the traces of an old cart road.

Fikiada is reachable via a dirt track from the village of Vathy and takes about 35 minutes to traverse. An alternative trail passes by the beach of Platis Gialos, however, it will take you over an hour on foot before you reach Fikiada. You can also opt to take a small boat that departs from the port of Kamares and takes you to the shore of this idyllic beach.
