LIVADI
Our recommendations:
• Kalami suites
Livadi is amongst the most popular places to stay when visiting Serifos. It is the main port of the island and the center of life with many shops and restaurants.
As a result, this is where most hotels are located. The beach of Livadi is mainly sandy with clear blue waters and tamarisk trees offering nice shadows which makes it ideal for families with children.
Furthermore, there is a ramp installed on the beach that offers access to disabled persons.
There is a bus stop connecting the port with Chora several times per day which makes it ideal for those traveling without a car.
Hotels vary in style and budget and you may find anything you are looking for.

CHORA
Our recommendations:
• Serifos homes
The capital of Serifos is known as one of the most typical Cycladic villages in the Aegean sea. Its traditional architecture has been well preserved and its uphill location offers wonderful views.
Most of the hotels located here are small, renovated apartments. The place is ideal for those who want to be surrounded by a traditional environment and to stay close to shops, taverns, and cafes.
If you want to move around the island, there is a bus stop that will take you to Livadi and some other beaches.

SERIFOS, AN OFF-THE-BEATEN-TRACK DESTINATION
Despite its proximity to Athens, Serifos island in Greece has kept its traditional character and is considered an off-the-beaten-track destination. Its tourist development remains low preserving its local colour.
Visitors who ask for an alternative, pure Cycladic, and easy-going atmosphere, should visit Serifos. The island belongs to the west Cyclades island complex and is close to Sifnos, Kythnos, and Milos and can be easily combined in an island-hopping tour.
The landscape of Serifos is almost completely arid which creates dramatic views. Furthermore, although of moderate size, Serifos is blessed with some wonderful beaches across its coastline. There are a few villages on the island but its population is mostly gathered in Chora, which is the Capital, and Livadi, which is the main port. This is where most hotels, shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes are located. You will also find hotels in other settlements and beaches on the island such as Livadakia and Rammos. Livadakia is very close to Livadi port and convenient for visitors that have not rented a car, while Rammos is located uphill, west of Livadi.
Hotels in Serifos are mainly small family-run businesses. The majority of them are apartments, cozy rooms-to-let, and studios built with the local whitewashed, cubic design and with beautiful sea views. Nonetheless, there are also some luxury hotels that are bigger units with suites, swimming pools, and all the modern comforts. If you are looking for privacy, there are some villas too.
The high season in Serifos is July and August, which means that if you visit the island during that period you should book your accommodation 4 months in advance. If you are visiting the island during the shoulder period such as May/June and September/October then book your hotel 2-3 months in advance.
