General information

Athinios Port Santorini: Athinios is not actually a village, but the main port of Santorini serving ferries from Athens and other Greek islands. The cruise ships and tour boats arrive in the small port of Fira, but the ferries arrive in Athinios.
It is located at a distance of 8.5 km south of Fira. The port is connected to Fira and all the other villages of Santorini by bus or taxi.

The cliff around Athinios is impressive. There are no houses there, only the buildings of the port authorities and some travel agencies.
