The tour starts from Megalochori, one of the most traditional villages in Santorini. The stables lie there, so you’ll hop on the horse from there.
You will then ride along the village’s paths and head to the infamous Caldera cliff. The view from there is simply breathtaking.
While riding along the rim of the Caldera, you will encounter the gorges and ravines formed because of the volcanic eruption.
The cliff is the perfect spot to gaze at the stunning sunset? the sunlight reflects on the deep blue Aegean waters, and the sky becomes a blend of pastel colors. You will also pay a visit to an ancient rock quarry that is carved into the cliffside. The several layers of stone are characteristic of Santorini’s peculiar geomorphology. The guide accompanying you will show you remnants of the Minoan civilization from over 3.500 years ago.
