Kitesurfing Courses & Rentals
General Description
Kitesurfing (or kiteboarding) is a famous water sport that involves using the power of the wind to pull yourself across the sea surface. It’s an exciting water sport that gets even more exciting when being carried out on the waters of Santorini while viewing the breathtaking Caldera.
At Monolithos beach, visitors have the opportunity to take kitesurfing courses or rent kitesurf equipment to enjoy the winds of the Aegean.
The location is ideal for kitesurfing since the infamous Meltemia winds affect the beach and range from 14 to 20 knots.
Starting from the kitesurfing courses, lessons are provided to both inexperienced and experienced riders.
Beginners get to select from two kinds of lessons.
The first option includes a one- or a two-hour introductory course on the beach, while the second offers an all-inclusive course that can last 6 or 10 hours upon request.
The six-hour course promises to make you an independent kitesurfer capable of going upwind and performing the maneuver for getting back into a sailing position.
The ten-hour course goes even further, showing you to perform awesome tricks in the water!
For riders with some experience, an hour-long advanced private course is provided. By taking that course, you will be capable of practicing your downwind skills, turning, jumping, and anything else you ask.
The same center allows you to rent kitesurfing equipment for every condition.
Your rental can last an hour, a day, or a week.
The kitesurfing lessons can be taken from everyone over the age of 10, while the equipment rental is available for individuals over 16 years old.
The kitesurfing center is open from April to October.
