Located in Oia, Atlantis is a family-run diving center offering an array of activities and watersports experiences. The diving center took its name from the lost city of Atlantis, which according to some legends, was located in Santorini. In addition, it is a member of the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, making sure that everything is taught correctly and performed with utmost safety.

As one of the Cousteau Dive Centers, it emphasizes the importance of protecting the environment throughout the diving programs and by organizing several actions. Its goal is to minimize the disturbance of marine life, keep the local beaches clean and establish a marine-protected area on the island. The center’s instructors often participate in educational programs in schools to raise awareness about the ecosystem.

Atlantis organizes diving excursions for beginners and experienced divers. Those who try scuba diving for the first time will go through an extensive lesson where an experienced instructor will explain the fundamentals and share useful tips. Up next, the initial skills are practiced in shallow waters first, before moving to areas with more depth.

On the other hand, certified divers have the opportunity to discover the underwater scenery of Santorini at two diving sites twice a day. Diving in the caldera opens up a world of volcanic rock formations alongside shipwrecks, reefs and caves. In addition, snorkeling excursions are scheduled twice a day for those who prefer swimming and having fun in shallower waters.

The diving center offers several longer courses that take up multiple days as well, including preparation for open water diver certifications, rescue diver training and speedboat training with a theoretical and a practical part.

Visitors can also book a private boat, diving and snorkeling tours. These are perfect for creating a unique and personal experience and visiting several secluded beaches with flexibility regarding time. The activities mainly take place around the caldera with a private boat, captain and instructor.
