Located at Hotel Dolphins in the middle of Kamari beach, the Volcano Dive Center started its operation in Santorini in 1999. The dive crew at the center has over 30 years of experience in training scuba divers of various skill levels, right from pleasure divers to deep wreck divers who can sink to a depth of up to 120 meters in the water.
The center is a fully organized PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) dive center and maintains stringent safety standards for all their programs. The center opens every year from late April to mid-October. Daily programs for certified divers as well as non-divers begin at the Volcano and Caldera in the morning and finish in the afternoon.
The center offers activities for both certified divers and non-divers. Certified divers can join the "Every Day Boat Dives". The program offers a variety of dives, including reef dives, wall dives, cave dives, wreck dive, volcano dive, night dives and deep dives. Apart from these, there are also courses offered for certified divers. These include advanced open water diving and master scuba diver.
Training is offered for specialized courses, like rescue diving and emergency first response. In addition to these regular courses, the center provides training for off-beat programs, like underwater navigation, search and recovery and multilevel diving. The non-divers, too, have an everyday dive program. Discover Scuba, Open water diver course, and snorkeling are also offered for non-divers.
