Ever since its creation in 1922, generations upon generations of the Roussos family have been serving Firostefani residents and visitors dishes full of exquisite Cycladean and Aegean tastes, paired with famous local wines, long before the island’s sudden rise in popularity, around the mid 20th century.
Using the island’s premium-quality raw materials, Aktaion Restaurant focuses on Mediterranean flavors with an added touch of upscale dining. Signature Santorinian dishes, such as fava, salads with capers and cherry tomatoes, garlic-filled pasta servings, and melitinia desserts, are always present on the menu, waiting for newcomers to get lost in their tasteful journey. Furthermore, plenty of vegan and gluten-free options are easy to spot on the menu.
Accompany your meal with a local bottle of high-quality wine or with one of Aktaion’s own bottles, but if you prefer beer, there is always the choice of the unique Santorinian volcanic ale. Aktaion provides you with a great chance to gaze at the gorgeous caldera or explore the restaurant’s art, most of which was created by owner Vaggelis Roussos.
You may enjoy Aktaion’s treasures while dining in or opt for a takeaway!
Aktaion Restaurant is open during the high season, Monday through Saturday from 13:00 - 00:00, and Sunday from 18:00 - 00:00.
