Franco's Cafe is perched on top of the charming town of Pyrgos and it is one of the few spots on the island that offers a truly stunning view of the sunset, for which the island is famous for. It takes quite a hike to reach the place because Pyrgos has been built on one of the highest hills in Santorini.

Franco's Cafe is a quaint and peaceful venue and many regulars return to the place time after time to savor the tranquil atmosphere of the place and drink in the beauty of the mesmerizing sunsets. Franco's serves simple food and the most popular thing about the place is the classical music that is played throughout the day. Delicious fare like tarts and chocolate fondue are prepared right in front of the guests. The cafeteria opens early in the morning and closes late at night.

The owner, Franco Colombo, has started a new Franco’s bar in the fortified village of Pyrgos. This bar is located in one of the most stunningly beautiful places on the island with panoramic views to the caldera and the island. The bar is done up in fabulous shades of white and blue decorated with a riot of brightly colored flowers and is laid out at different levels, each offering stunning views of the archipelago. The bar offers a variety of around 15 cocktails and one can sit at the table which juts out into the waters of Fira and enjoy the view and the sunset. There are two floors, and if the place gets too windy, guests can take refuge on the first floor.
