How to get to Monolithos Beach

There are many different ways to get to Monolithos beach from any location on the island.
Airport to Monolithos: 2.2 km / 1.3 miles | Port to Monolithos: 11.2 km / 6.9 miles | Fira to Monolithos: 6 km / 3.7 miles

Private transfers: We recommend using an online pre-booked transfer service, which provides transfer by taxi, minibus, or private VIP car and arranging a pickup directly from the port, airport, or your hotel. Alternatively, there's an option of scheduling a direct pickup by a local driver at the following number: 0030 690 679 4316, 0030 22860 22555. 

Car rental: There's the option of renting a car and picking it up directly from the airport, port, or your hotel. Using a car allows visitors to discover Monolithos beach and many other places of interest at their own pace. 

Public transfers: In Monolithos village lies the terminal stop of the bus route Fira > Monolithos. Fira is where the central bus station of the island is located. There are bus connections between this bus station and most areas of the island. There are buses to Monolithos three times a day. Note that time schedules might change according to the season. From Santorini airport to Monolithos:  A bus stop lies between the arrivals and departure buildings. The buses that depart from there take visitors to the central bus station in Fira village, which is 5 km away. A bus from Santorini airport to Fira departs approximately every hour. From Fira, visitors should take another bus to reach Monolithos, following the route Fira > Monolithos.
From Santorini port (Athinios) to Monolithos: The bus station is located at the port of Santorini. Visitors who have arrived by ferry can take a bus to Fira Central bus station, which is 8.5 km away. From Fira, visitors should board another bus to reach Monolithos, following the route Fira > Monolithos.
Tip: Since buses don’t always stop at every scheduled stop of their itinerary, our advice to visitors is to inform the driver about their final destination in advance.
