Red Beach, the most impressive in Santorini
Best Santorini Beaches
Perivolos, the longest black sand beach
Perissa, the popular black sand beach
The beaches in Santorini are much different than other beaches in Greece due to their special geological features. Red and black volcanic pebbles lay on the shores of Santorini, while cliffs provide a picturesque ambiance of unique beauty.
In brief, the most famous beach is Red Beach. At the same time, Perissa Beach, Kamari Beach, and Perivolos Beach are also particularly popular and many accommodation options are located there.
Note that some beaches are not easily accessible by road but can be reached with a Jetski Expedition! Also, the black and red sand of the beaches can become very hot due to their dark color.
You will find below a list of the best beaches on Santorini Island sorted by popularity. You can also view them on an illustrated map.
