Water Taxis and Seabus in Paros
Water taxis in Paros are a unique, fun, and quick way to get from one beach to another. In Paros, one can board the small boats of locals for four different available routes - Parikia to Antiparos island, Parikia to Krios and Marchello beaches, and Naoussa to Kolymbithres, Monastiri, and Langeri beaches, and Piso Livadi to Agia Anna in Naxos.
Such vessels usually start operating routes when the weather gets warm and the sea is relatively calm, around April or May. During summer, itineraries are more frequent to serve the many tourists Paros welcomes annually. When the climate no longer allows it, usually around November, schedules discontinue.
► Parikia to Antiparos: A boat called Express Panormitis Antiparos transfers passengers from the main port of Paros in Parikia to the island of Antiparos and vice versa. It is a small boat, so it can't carry vehicles. The crossing lasts half an hour and the fare is quite affordable. Itineraries are available until October.
► Parikia to Krios and Marchello beaches: Departing from Parikia every half an hour during the high season, a water taxi moves people to Krios and Marchello beaches. The three spots lie close to one another, so the total trip duration (reaching the beach of your choice and returning to Parikia) is around 30 minutes. A one-way ticket costs 3 euros.
► Naoussa to Kolymbithres, Monastiri, and Langeri beaches: Naoussa boasts a fishing harbor where only small vessels can moor. Some serve as water taxis and take visitors to the beaches of Kolymbithres, Monastiri, and Langeri. Itineraries are frequent and available during the high season. The trip duration is approximately 10 minutes.
► Piso Livadi to Agia Anna, Naxos: Throughout the summer, water taxis depart from the small port of Piso Livadi 4 days a week, taking visitors to the scenic seaside resort of Agia Anna on the island of Naxos. Located around 6 kilometers south of Naxos Chora, Agia Anna is surrounded by cedars and boasts a marvelous golden beach. Boats depart both in the morning and in the evening, and the crossing takes about 25 minutes. The route is served by Kerras Cruises.
