The Tranampelo Winery, tucked away in Glinado village's center, is a testimony to the rich viticultural legacy of Naxos. The winery, founded by Konstantinos Makridimitris, carries the tradition of "Trana Ampelia," or "Great Vines," a region known for its more than 200-year-old winemaking customs.
To create wines that capture the distinct terroir of the island, the winery uses organic viticulture and specializes in native Naxian grape varietals. One of their most notable products is the Potamisi Dry White Wine, made from the rare Potamisi grape, a variety with a long history in Naxos winemaking.
Beyond wine production, Tranampelo Winery provides special events such as live music nights and full moon feasts, allowing customers to taste their wines in a lively and joyful setting.
The winery also offers exclusive dinners for couples. Food and Wine pairing dinners are also arranged by the establishment, which combines a sumptuous dinner with walks around the winery, where guests will learn about local winemaking and organic farming.
