Naxos Flamingo Restaurant in Chora (main town)

Flamingo Restaurant is located at the seaside road of Chora, the capital town of Naxos. Open since 1991, this family-run restaurant offers lovely views of the harbor and it is open from morning serving coffee, fresh fruit juices and a large breakfast.

The restaurant has fine ambiance and serves traditional Greek dishes in a classy setting where careful attention has been paid even to the minutest detail. The family-style dining even offers a kids menu with five different kinds of special dishes for children. The lunch menu starts off with a choice of stuffed aubergines and fried zucchinis. Traditional cheese pies with different kinds of cheese, fresh salads, avocados with prawns and grilled fish and meat are also served at Flamingo. Among specialties is beef fillet cooked with Kouros red wine sauce, a chicken-vegetable dish, chicken fillet with milk cream, baked dishes and dishes prepared using village cock and village rabbit.

Vegetarians can choose from meatless moussaka (prepared with spinach) and spaghetti with white sauce. The wine list of Flamingo offers famous Greek and international wines, as well as excellent house wines, both red and white. The restaurant bar is well-stocked with top labels and wonderful cocktails, and occasionally there is an orchestra to entertain guests with a fine selection of traditional Greek songs.
