More about Agios Prokopios
The golden seashore is 1.5 km long, with crystalline waters and thick sand.
Its location offers protection from the island's strong winds, and the waters are almost always calm.
The beach is organized for the most part, with sunbeds and sun umbrellas. Nonetheless, the section close to the namesake chapel on the northern edge of the coast is unorganized, and the seashore's unspoiled natural beauty is perfectly preserved.
On the southern part , you will also find lively beach bars and watersport facilities.
The small village that hides behind the sand dunes boasts numerous hotels, restaurants, cafes, mini markets, and bars.
In this area, you will also find a salt lake with a distinctive pink color that house birds and other wildlife.
The beach can easily be reached by car, but you can also get there by bus from Naxos Town.

ablutsauger 12 Nov 2015Just averageThis beach is just average and not really worth visiting for an adventurer or a person that likes secluded beaches. It is a plain, regular beach, one of those you'll see everywhere.
I gave it a higher rating simply because of clear water and colour, which is amazing along Naxos. -
gjbiljana 23 Oct 2013Lovely and cleanThe beach is on 10-15 minutes by car or by bus from the Chora. It is very good organized, extremely clean, with beautiful blue color of the sea. There is one very popular beach bar across the street where young people have fun all day. Great beach for all generations.

barbara34 29 Jun 2010Great beach bars
It is a worthy beach, the water and sand are so relaxing. The sun was pretty warm and it provided the best possible atmosphere for a beach vacation. Water of the sea also reflected the warmth of the sun. Both of us had a great time swimming in the soothing water. We spent almost half a day simply relaxing under a sun bed. The sand is not so thin and it doesn't stick to our body. We had a few excellent cocktails at the beach bar and really cheap compared to other islands, just 5 euros a beer.
