How to get to Ornos Beach

There are many different ways to get to Ornos Beach from any location on the island.
Airport to Ornos: 4 km / 2.4 miles | New Port to Ornos: 7 km / 4.3 miles | Town to Ornos: 3.5 km / 2.1 miles

Private transfers: We recommend using an online pre-booked transfer service, which provides transfer by taxi, minibus, or private VIP car and arranging a pickup directly from the port, airport, or your hotel. Car rental: There’s the option of renting a car and picking it up directly from the airport, port, or your hotel. Using a rental car allows visitors to discover Ornos Beach and many other places of interest at their own pace.

Public transport: Agios Ioannis Beach is located close to Ornos Beach (a 20-minute walk). Visitors can take the bus route Mykonos Town (Fabrika) > Agios Ioannis and get off after 3 stops. Note that there are two central bus stations in Mykonos Town: Fabrika and Old Port. Several buses depart from Fabrika to Agios Ioannis during the day. From Mykonos Airport to Ornos: A bus station lies outside the main terminal building. The bus route Airport > New Port (approximately every 1.5 hours) takes visitors to Fabrika central station (second stop). From Fabrika, visitors should board another bus to reach Ornos, following the route Mykonos Town (Fabrika) > Agios Ioannis.
From Mykonos New Port (in Tourlos) to Ornos: The bus station is located at the New Port of Mykonos, a 3-minute walk away from the passenger disembarkation area. From there, visitors who have arrived by ferry can take the bus route New Port > Airport (approximately every hour) and get off after 3 stops. From there, visitors need to reach the bus station of Fabrika (a 15-minute walk). From Fabrika, visitors should board another bus to reach Ornos, following the route Mykonos Town (Fabrika) > Agios Ioannis.
Tip: Since buses don’t always stop at every scheduled stop of their itinerary, our advice to visitors is to inform the driver about their final destination in advance.
