Named after the Greek word for roots, Rizes in Ano Mera village truly takes you on a trip through past times, as it is run by a singular family inside a beautifully decorated old house. It features a church, some farm tool exhibits, a vineyard, a small garden, a horse stable, and a coop, amongst other facilities around the restaurant.
By paying a visit to Rizes Restaurant, guests can enjoy a variety of meals, all centered around traditional Mediterranean cuisine. Traditional pies, refreshing salads made of daily-collected homegrown vegetables, and oven-baked meals are combined with Greek drinks, such as ouzo, tsipouro, and local-made wine, to make your meal an unforgettable experience. You may also enjoy a deluxe breakfast/brunch, but you need to make a previous-day reservation.
The kitchen closes at 23:00, and the restaurant does so at 24:00.
Furthermore, you can try one of many activities that Rizes can provide you, like a 2-hour-long guided tour around the estate, or a quick visit to northern Mykonos and one of its private beaches. Also, a couple of extra in-house activities can be arranged, namely a cooking class (in which you will prepare your meal) and a bread-making showcase.
