In brief, the island offers a local bus service that connects its five main villages. It is the cheapest way to move around, but schedules are limited.
For that reason, most people choose to move around by car.
Buses in Kythnos serve the five busiest villages, i.e. Chora (the capital town), Merichas (the port), Driopida, Loutra, and Kanala.
Even during summer, when the island receives hundreds of visitors, itineraries are not very frequent.
