Kythnos Apokrousi beach

General information

Apokrousi Beach is located between Episkopi and Fikiada, and opposite the unique Kolona Beach. It is found in a bay that shelters it from strong winds, with the ancient site of Vryokastro on the left and the dirt road leading to Kolona on the right side.

The beach boasts golden sand and crystal-clear, azure waters. Most of its shore is pristine, lacking amenities, yet one can find shelter from the sun under the tamarisks. The local beach bar at the edge of the coast offers sunbeds and umbrellas, while a tavern also lies in proximity.

Apokrousi is about 4 kilometers from Chora and 9.5 km (by wheeled vehicle) from Merichas Port. Fans of trekking can reach it on foot, but it is advised to be careful of the sun during the hot summer days.
