Koufonisia Laki beach

General information

Stretching in the heart of a small cove, the enchanting Laki is the first beach you will encounter west of the Kato Koufonisi marina. Boasting magnificent views of Keros, it shares the same turquoise waters that are commonly associated with Koufonisia, and it is ideal for snorkeling. However, you need to bear in mind that both the shore and the seabed are strewn with pebbles that can sometimes be slippery, so don’t forget to bring along a pair of water shoes. Though Laki is susceptible to southern and eastern winds, it is a great choice when the wind blows from the north.

To get there, all you have to do is to walk about 300 meters from the marina. Other than the island’s single tavern, which is located near the dock, the beach is completely non-organized, so it is a lovely spot for enjoying the sun and the sea in tranquility. Naturism is often practiced there as well.
