Close to the island's picturesque port, you will find the beach of Gialos (or Yialos) in Ios, a small settlement with up-to-date tourist infrastructure. Gialos is only a few meters away from the port, therefore you have a very good view of the ships when they arrive.

The biggest part of this sandy beach is covered by trees as it is surrounded by verdurous cliffs dotted with white-washed houses.
